Team Lead PHP Backend Development (m/f)
For this exciting position we are looking for someone who loves to share his coding skills and experience in order to lead, guide and develop one of our web application development teams in our headquarter in Hamburg, Germany.

Your Tasks

# Lead, guide, mentor and develop one of our web development teams
# Exciting and varied PHP web projects in a range of areas (new feature development, online payment, mobile commerce, search technologies, crawling, business intelligence, online marketing, analysis of new technologies, refactoring, etc.)
# Responsibility for the development, maintenance, and support of web sites and applications through our entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
# Planning, effort estimations and monitoring of development tasks
# Work with agile processes, that are adapted to the team’s and project’s needs
# Work and communicate closely with our product management teams and co-workers
# Identify and fix performance and maintenance problems, on-going improvement of our backend infrastructure
# Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, identify and implement new technologies and strategies for scaling purposes
# Code reviews to ensure the quality of our software
# Stay current with new web development technologies and best-practices and share them with the team

Your DNA
and what we expect from you
# Proven leadership and mentoring ability as well as team-oriented thinking (minimum 2 years)
# Computer science degree or equivalent qualifications
# Multi-year experience in backend focused development of PHP 7.* / MySQL-based medium or large web applications
# Good knowledge of OOP, MVC architectures, SOLID principles and other clean coding standards
# Good understanding of MySQL (MySQL 5+) including database design and performance
# Knowledge of Unit Testing and Continuous Integration
# Responsibility, motivation, and team spirit is part of your DNA
# You have a drive to always deliver the best quality and don´t do tasks just according to the minimum requirements
# You know how to do proper documentation of code
# You are a planner and keep your TO-DOs structured and well-organized
# You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English to communicate with your team and co-workers
# Strive to push the boundaries of technology solutions with experimentation, prototyping, creative thinking and technology ecosystem engagement.
# Constant readiness to expand your horizon
